Meet The Team

Tom Peddell.jpg

Head Sports Therapist/Owner

Tom Peddell

Tom has excelled in sport since the age of 8 as an athlete, coach, sports massage therapist and sports therapist.

As an athlete he has competed for prestigious swimming and water polo clubs which has taken him all over the UK competing at many levels of championships.

Injury has halted Tom on his journey to major championships twice - one of which ultimately ended his ambition of further progression, as he had to have major hip surgery as a teenager.

Channeling this disappointment in a positive way, Tom turned his personal ambitions into coaching others to fulfill theirs.

Tom's personal experiences further fuelled his desire to help others by becoming a sports massage therapist in 2009. This led him to work for a Physiotherapy clinic in Portsmouth as well as developing his own client base in the Wickham area.

As a sports massage therapist, Tom was inspired to do more. So in 2012 he studied at the University of Chichester to become a sports therapist whilst gaining some valuable experience in well established clinics in Portsmouth. Tom graduated in 2015 and has worked in multidisciplinary clinics in Emsworth, alongside many different professions whilst starting and building Meon Valley Sports Injury Clinic.

Tom's 15+ years experience has seen him treat many different ailments and complaints for clients including swimmers, footballers, runners, Paralympians, wrestlers, young people and the elderly.

He is dedicated to helping patients recover from injuries by restoring their daily function as well as sporting ability and reducing the risk of recurrence through tailored treatment and prevention strategies. His evidence-based approach ensures that every patient receives the most effective and up-to-date care.

Alongside his professional work, Bayley maintains an active lifestyle through the gym and playing football for his local football team, Burridge AFC. Due to this, Bayley understands what it means to struggle in sport and daily life due to what may only appear as a small injury or issue, and what others may only describe as a ‘minuscule’ matter. Such experiences, given by his teammates and patients as well as Bayley's first-hand insight, allow for a deeper understanding of the physical struggles of sport and the challenges of recovery, allowing him to connect with patients on a personal level and provide practical, empathetic support.

By combining clinical expertise with a real-world understanding that every patient has different needs, Bayley strives to help individuals of all ages not only return to the activities they love at their peak physical and sporting ability but also build long-term resilience and confidence in their bodies that hopefully prevent future injury and allow people to continue enjoying their injury-free lifestyles.

Sports Therapist

Dan Hart

Dan is a graduate Sports Therapist with a passion for helping individuals recover from injury and build both physical and mental resilience to prevent re-injury.

He began his adult life in the Army Reserves, where he developed an enthusiasm for physical development by becoming an Army Physical Training Instructor. During his time as a Physical Training Instructor, Dan encountered a wide range of injuries and, feeling unprepared to effectively support recovery, became increasingly frustrated by his inability to help.

This frustration sparked his decision to pursue a career in Sports and Exercise Therapy, with the goal of guiding others through injury assessment, rehabilitation, and ultimately back to sport or work.

Outside of his professional life, Dan is an avid sports enthusiast. He rediscovered his love for field hockey in 2019 while competing in an Army Reserve hockey competition.

This motivated him to join his local hockey club, where he now trains and competes whenever possible. Additionally, Daniel has been a dedicated distance runner since his school days, originally training to join the Army.

Recently, he has taken on the challenge of competing in the ABP Southampton Marathon.

Balancing marathon training with club hockey and maintaining high levels of fitness for Army service, Dan understands the physical demands of both competitive and recreational athletes.

Dan's personal experiences allow him to empathize with patients and tailor treatments and rehabilitation plans to meet their specific needs.
